Error 1: repctrl.dbf does not exist

Issue

Two possible error messages:

A red box with the following error displays when attempting to open Fred Dispense on a terminal.

A blue error message when attempting to open Fred Dispense on a terminal

Cause

This error usually indicates the terminal is not able to reach the server due to a network issue.

Resolution

Test to see if you're able to browse (connect) to the server computer.

1. Display the Run dialog box by doing one of the following:
   • Press Win + R keys.
   • Search for Run from the Windows search bar.
2. Enter \\ followed by the server name, for example: \\soserver
3. If the window containing the server shared files:
   • Fails to display, contact your network technician to investigate potential network issues.
   • Does display and you're still receiving the above error, contact Fred Support for further investigation.
