Fred Dispense Plus
Overview
Your NASH certificate needs to be manually updated every two years via PRODA. Once the new NASH certificate has been downloaded from PRODA, you need to import it into Fred Dispense Plus.
Step 1: Renew/request new NASH in PRODA
If you have issues renewing or NASH in PRODA or receiving your PIC code, contact PRODA immediately: 1800 700 199 Option 1.
- Log onto PRODA account : Services Australia renew NASH
- Select Go to service on the HPOS tile.
Make sure you continue as Individual - No organisation then follow the rest of the steps. DO NOT SELECT YOUR PHARMACY.
- Select My programs.
- Select Healthcare Identifiers and My Health Record.
- Select Healthcare Identifiers - Manage existing records.
If connected to multiple organisations, you will first need to select the required organisation record.
- Select My organisation details.
- Select the Certificates tab.
- Under the Certificates tab, you will see the current NASH for the store with an option on the right to Renew. Make sure you press the Submit button when completing the form to finalise the Renewal request.
- If the certificate has already expired, there may not be a Renew button. In that case, click on the link underneath that says Request a NASH PKI site certificate instead.
- Enter a mobile number.
- Select the relevant check box(es).
- Save changes and submit.
You will get an email and a PIC (via SMS) once the new NASH is ready for download. Navigate to the Certificates tab again and there will be a download button next to the new NASH.
Step 2: Import NASH Certificate into Fred Dispense Plus

From the menu, select Setup > NASH Certificate.
- Select Import Certificate.
- Select Browse, then locate and select the downloaded NASH Certificate.
- Enter the PIC code.
- Select Import.
- Select Close.
Step 3: Enable Health Identifier Service and My Health Record
- From the menu, select Setup > Health Identifier Service Configuration
- Ensure Healthcare Identifier Service Enabled is toggled onto YES.
- Select Test HI Service.
- If successful, a green tick is displayed.
- Select Save.
- From the menu, select Setup > My Health Record Configuration
- Ensure My Health Record Enabled is toggled onto YES.
- Select Save.
- Restart Fred Dispense Plus on all terminals.
