Queued MedView Flow baskets not displaying in Fred Dispense Plus

Overview

If MedView Flow baskets are visible on some terminals but not appearing on a specific terminal, this is usually related to the Terminal ID or filters applied on that workstation. Filters can also hide baskets even though they exist in the queue. Follow the steps below to identify and resolve the issue.

Step 1: Check the terminal ID on the affected computer

1. On the affected terminal, open Fred Dispense Plus.
2. From the Help menu, select About Fred Dispense Plus and note the Computer Name. This is the terminal ID.
3. Open MedView Flow in the web browser on the same computer. From the Settings menu, select Terminal Settings.
4. Confirm the Terminal ID in MedView Flow matches exactly with the Terminal ID shown in Fred Dispense Plus.

Terminal IDs are per computer, not per user. If two computers share the same Terminal ID, baskets may only appear on one of them. After correcting a Terminal ID, close and reopen MedView Flow and Fred Dispense.

Step 2: Check for filters applied in MedView Flow browser page

1. In MedView Flow, look at the filter bar at the top of the screen. Check for filters such as:
   • Basket type (e.g. Vaccines only)
   • Workflow stage (e.g. Checking, Scripts In, Scripts Out)
   • Date or time filters
   • Assigned terminal or workflow restrictions
2. Clear or reset all filters so all baskets are displayed.
3. Refresh the MedView Flow page after clearing filters.

Step 3: Check for filters applied in the MedView Flow embedded app in Fred Dispense Plus

If you are viewing MedView Flow inside Fred Dispense Plus, filters are independent from the browser version and must be checked separately.

1. Open Fred Dispense Plus on the affected terminal.
2. Open the MedView Flow panel (embedded view).
3. Look for the filter / funnel icon or filter bar within the panel.
4. Check for any active filters, including:
   • Workflow stage restrictions
   • Basket types (e.g. Vaccines, eScripts only)
   • Date filters
5. Clear all filters or reset to show all baskets.
6. Close and reopen Fred Dispense Plus to refresh the embedded view.
