Fred Dispense
Overview
Using the Cancel Claim Numbers feature in Fred Dispense, you can cancel specific claim numbers. This is useful if there are two different claim serial numbers for the same script which can happen in the following scenarios:
- Fred Dispense crashed while dispensing the script
- An Error 2091 causes a script to lose its serial number
In these scenarios, Fred Dispense will assign a new serial number to the script, leading to PBS having one script with two or more serial numbers attached to it.
When trying to claim the script, the site will receive the PBS message "This prescription has been identified as a duplicate" similar to the one below.
Follow the steps below to resolve the issue.
Steps
- Click Activities > Pharmpay Claim > Cancel Claim Numbers.
- In the Claim - Period field, type in the claim period for the script and in the Script No field, type in the script number.
Refer to Script/Claim Number Display in Fred Dispense Online Help if you need to look up these numbers.
- You will receive a prompt confirming the action. Double check that this is the correct script the site wants to cancel. An example is below.
- Reclaim the script that is receiving the message saying it's a duplicate.
