Fred Dispense Plus
The following does not apply to LLG pharmacies. LLG users need to refer to their head office regarding new Fred Dispense Plus access.
Overview
Only users with the appropriate roles and permissions can add new users into Fred Dispense Plus.
You can review Roles and Permissions from Setup > Roles Management.
Steps
- Log into Fred Dispense Plus with an appropriate user.
- From the menu, select Setup > User Management.
- Click Add, then fill in the details as follows:
- Initials must be 2 characters and must be unique.
- Password must be 4 characters or more.

Extended Login is used to assign this user to a key fob.
- Click Assign and then scan the key fob to program it.
- AHPRA number is recommended to be entered; however, if you do not have it at this time, leave this blank and proceed.
- HPI-I is recommended to be requested. It cannot be input manually. It needs to be requested once the user's First Name, Surname and AHPRA number are entered. However, if you do not have all the required information at this time, leave this blank and proceed.
- User Role Select the relevant role and then Save.
Additional notes
- LLG users need to refer to their head office regarding new Dispense Plus access.
- AHPRA number and user's first and last name are used to validate their HPI-I.
- If the HPI-I number is not found, it may indicate the user's details have changed from what is listed in the Healthcare Provider Directory or AHPRA. Refer to Adding a Healthcare Provider Directory entry on Services Australia website.
- AHPRA number and HPI-I are recommended to ensure full functionality with Real Time Prescription Monitoring, ePrescriptions, PBS Online and My Health Record.
