Issue

Scripts for medications with long directions are printing over two labels.

Cause

Long directions setting not properly configured in Fred Dispense dispense options.

Resolution

1. From the Setup menu, select Dispense Options.
2. Click the Label Printer tab.
   
3. In the Long Directions Print field type:
   [C] for Condensed
   [8] for 8 lines per inch
   [B] for both condensed printing and 8 lines per inch
   [N] to disable long directions printing

4. Click Save and test another label with long directions. Directions will now be smaller and more condensed.

   Smaller condensed directions may make it more difficult for the patient to read.
