How to lock a user profile

Overview

This article explains how to lock the user profile in Fred Dispense Plus—for example, if a staff member no longer works at your pharmacy.

Steps

1. In Fred Dispense Plus, from the Setup menu, select Password Configuration.
2. Make a note of the current setting for Number of incorrect password attempts before the user is locked out. Change it to a small number, such as 2.
   
3. Attempt to log in using the profile that needs to be locked out until the specified number of incorrect attempts is reached.

4. From the Setup menu, select User Management.
   The user profile should be locked as shown below with the Locked checkbox selected.
   

   If you changed the setting for the number of incorrect password attempts above, set it back to its original value.
