Troubleshooting R281 error on some internal extemporaneous scripts

Issue

Some pharmacies have reported receiving a rejection with an R 281 Reason Code on some internal extemporaneous scripts in Fred Dispense Plus.

This exceptionally priced prescription is not twice the average price.

Resolution

1. Highlight the rejected script on the Wait screen.
2. Click the Edit Rx button to open the script.
3. Type "extemp" in the Drug selection field.   
   
4. Make a note of the original Quantity. (In this example, it is 1,500).
5. Change Qty from the original quantity to 1 and click OK to save.
   
6. Repeat Step 3 and change Qty back to the original quantity (1,500 in this example) then save.
   
7. Complete the script and reclaim.
