How to manage drug ranking

Overview

This article outlines the steps to enable and manage drug ranking.

This feature is only available for stores that are not connected to a head office.

Steps

Step 1 - Enable Drug Ranking

If this is your first time managing drug ranking, select Setup > Dispense Options, and make sure that Drug ranking by number is set to Yes, then click Save.

Step 2 - Assign Drug Ranking

You can assign drug rankings by assigning a number (0-9) to individual drugs or in bulk.

• 0 – Used often
• 5 – Average/default
• 9 – Used rarely

The lower the drug rank number, the higher the drug will appear in search results.

• Individual drugs
  Navigate to individual drug card in the drugs (Lists > Drugs) or own brand drugs (Lists > Own Brand Drugs) to assign a drug ranking.
  
• Multiple drugs in bulk

  1. Select Setup > Dispense Options, then click Manage Ranking.
     

  2. Next, move drugs between lists as follows:

     1. Select a Drug Rank.

     2. To assign this rank, choose drugs from the right-hand list and move them to the left by clicking the left arrow <.

        You can filter the list by selecting a Manufacturer or by entering a Drug Name (for example, "Atenolol" or "APO").
