Fred Dispense
Overview
The red brackets indicate items which, if dispensed today, would trigger the Safety Net 20 (SN20) early supply rule.
Example
Travatan and Spiractin below were both dispensed on 02/01/23.
- Travatan is not a drug listed under the Safety Net early supply rule - List of medicines on the PBS website. Therefore, the SN20 rule does not apply and there is no red bracket. You can dispense this item again today without a Safety Net consequence.
- Spiractin is a drug listed under the early supply rule. The red brackets indicate that it is still currently too early to dispense this item again and doing so would trigger a Safety Net consequence.
Summary
The absence of red brackets is a quick indicator to know which drugs can be dispensed without triggering a Safety Net consequence.
