Fred Dispense
Overview
There is a SIG which, when added manually to the label directions, adds the words “This medication replaces ………. DO NOT TAKE BOTH” and automatically adds the originally selected drug name as long as <GS> is used to create a substitution for that drug.
It does not load the name if <G>, <GB> or <F11> are used to make a generic substitution.
Steps
When making a generic substitution:
- After selecting a drug, to display all brands available for generic substitution, type GS in the Drug or Repeat No field, then press Enter.
- After making a generic substitution, then add "gs" at the end of the dispensing directions.
