Fred Dispense
Overview
When dispensing doctor's bag items, the government recovery amount including GST is paid to the pharmacy by PBS. The GST is then forwarded back to the government via the Australian Tax Office by the pharmacy.
For example:
- Pharmacy dispenses doctor's bag scripts totalling $110 (including GST).
- PBS will then reimburse the pharmacy for $110 (including GST).
- $10 of GST is then forwarded back to the Australian Tax Office.
