Install a new Kyocera printer

Step 1: Install Toner Cartridge & Waste Toner Box 

• Open the top cover and carefully remove all orange tape. 
• Shake the toner for 5 to 10 seconds. 
• Carefully remove the red protective sticker from the toner. 

• Put the toner in place in the printer. 

• Push down firmly on the top of the toner until it clicks into place. 
• Close the top cover. 

• Open the lid on the toner waste bottle. 
• Open the left side cover. 

• Push the toner waste bottle in, making sure to put the bottom in first and that the neck of the bottle is in the clips of the printer. 
• Close the side cover. 

Step 2: Add Paper to the Paper Cassette/s 

• Pull out the paper tray from the printer. 
• If required, change the paper size on the display at the front of the paper tray. 
• Slide the side paper size adjustment clips to the required size. 

• Slide the end stop clip to the paper size you want to use. 
• Lift the clip and slide it to the required paper size. 
• You only need to change the paper tray size if you are printing on paper other than A4. 

• Be sure not to over-fill the paper tray using the guides provided. 
• When inserting paper make sure it is under the guides on either side of the paper bin inside the paper tray. 
• Slide the paper tray back into the printer. 

Step 3: Connect to the computer

• This applies to parallel-port and USB printing. 
• Locate the USB or parallel ports on the back of the printer and connect the corresponding cable to your computer. 
• Connect the power cable and turn the printer on at the power point. 
• The computer should now display the Found New Hardware window.
