How to add Important Patient Messages

Overview

If you select a patient with an Important Patient Message, a red box with the message will display. You must press [C] or [Esc] to proceed.

Follow the steps below to add an Important Patient Message.

Steps

1. Select a patient.
2. Press [F8] to edit existing patient details.
3. Enter the Important Patient Message in the Patient Notes field in between two hashtags (#). For example,
   
   

   Any text written in the Patient Notes field outside of the hashtags will not display in the Important Patient Message.
