How to enable Enhanced Scan Check

Overview

Enhanced Scan Check allows you to confirm the product selected matches the dispensed drug.

When this setting is enabled, a barcode will be printed on each dispense label. Once you've dispensed a script, you can initiate the check by scanning the barcode on the printed label followed by the scanning of the barcode found on the product's package.

Steps

1. Navigate to Setup>Dispense Options.
2. Update Activate Enhanced Scan Check to Y.
3. Select Save.
4. Close and reopen Fred Dispense on all terminals for the setting change to take effect.

Enhanced Scan Check is currently only available for F5 and TA label formats.
