Own Brand Drug not triggering RTPM - Cannabis or Other Controlled Drugs

Issue

Dispensing a controlled Own Brand Drug is not getting picked up by Real Time Prescription Monitoring (RTPM).

You may find:

• Dispensed events not uploading to RTPM.
• No pre-check results or pre-check displaying "Drug is not monitored."
  

Cause

Certain details required for RTPM to trigger are not populated in the Own Brand Drug Card.

Resolution

1. Review the Own Brand Drug card via Lists > Own Brand Drugs.
2. Ensure Strength is populated appropriately.
3. Ensure Schedule is populated appropriately (eg. 8, 4R).
4. Ensure the Generic field is populated.
   The text in this field needs to be included in RTPM's list of monitored items in order for the script to be picked up. One method to achieve this is to:
   1. Search for an existing drug from the current drug database (via Lists > Drugs) that has the same Generic name.
   2. Take note and populate the Own Brand Drug's Generic field with the exact same name.
